We buy only where we can see the whole book.

Pinetail pairs an intelligence business that serves the whole market with capital that puts it to work. AdvanceIQ.ai scores, benchmarks, and monitors merchant cash advance and revenue-based finance across the industry; Pinetail Asset Management buys participations in it. Every originator we buy from is an AdvanceIQ.ai client, so we underwrite from its full portfolio history and live performance data — not a sample tape and a pitch deck.

Most syndication capital sees only what the originator chooses to send. We see the book itself, deal by deal, against the rest of the market.

Market-wide coverage
Every originator benchmarked against its peers across AdvanceIQ.ai clients, not against its own track record.
MCA-native risk scoring
Proprietary deal-level models trained only on MCA performance.
Live, deal-level visibility
Performance read directly from originators’ systems, not reconstructed from monthly reports.
  1. Vet the originator

Portfolio, financial, and operational diligence before the first deal, and ongoing audits after.

Vintage curves, collections, and concentration history in PortIQ.

  2. Curate within the book

We select segment by segment and deal by deal within each book, not just by originator.

Every deal scored by SMB RiskIQ before we fund it.

  3. Skin in the game

Originators keep a significant share of every deal on their own balance sheet.

Retention verified in the data, not taken on representation.

  4. Monitor every position

Every position tracked on live data, with what we learn fed back into selection.

Early-warning signals surfaced by PortIQ and ARIA.
